PDFStay

PDFStay reproducible tool checks

This is a first-party compatibility record, not a customer case study, independent review, or performance ranking. It documents browser-based checks for the public PDFStay routes below.

Method and limits

Self-authored, non-sensitive fixtures under CC0 1.0 are used for each check. The SHA-256 value identifies the documented fixture recipe, not a customer file. Checks run in Chromium through Playwright on a desktop CI browser context.

Each record names the input scenario, expected output check, and known boundary. No cross-device time, compression-ratio, quality, or product-ranking claim is published because those results vary with the source file, browser, device, and settings.

How to cite this record

This record establishes

  • The documented input type, output type, and route-specific Free / Pro boundary.
  • The recorded browser processing method and the output check for the published fixture recipe.
  • That the listed result was checked in the stated Chromium and Playwright environment.

This record does not establish

  • A fixed compression ratio, cross-device performance result, or universal visual-quality score.
  • Support for every encrypted, damaged, or otherwise unsupported source file.
  • A product ranking, independent review, customer case study, or AggregateRating.

1 Choose one PDF, keep the default compression setting, then download the resulting PDF. The exported file is a readable PDF and remains downloadable in the browser session. Compression results depend on the source PDF. PDFStay does not claim a fixed size reduction or visual-quality score.

2 Add two PDFs to the batch queue, process the queue, then download the batch result. Each completed item exposes a result and the batch download is a ZIP archive. The check verifies queue and download behavior, not a guaranteed compression ratio for every source file.

sha256:f412fe0eda2caeae982c85b60f65e883018a5148573ad4350066c32899811b43
2 Choose an image-heavy PDF and run the image-compression workflow with its default setting. The result downloads as a PDF after the image-compression workflow completes. Image compression is source-dependent; no fixed file-size or image-fidelity result is promised.
