How to extract, reorder, or remove PDF pages locally

Choose the right page action first

Page work often fails because the user opens the wrong tool. Extraction, reordering, deletion, rotation, and splitting sound similar, but they answer different jobs. If you need only pages 3 through 5, use extraction. If all pages stay but the sequence changes, use reordering. If pages should disappear from the final PDF, use deletion. Recommended local workflow

1. Save a copy of the original PDF.
2. Decide whether the job is extraction, reordering, deletion, rotation, or splitting.
3. Open the matching PDFStay route.

6. Download the new PDF.
7. Reopen the output and check page count, order, orientation, and readability against your goal.

For example, if you remove 2 pages from a 15-page document, the output should have 13 pages. If you extract pages 4-6 from a 20-page file, the output should have 3 pages. If you reorder pages without deleting anything, the page count should stay the same.

What to verify before sharing

Check the first page, last page, every page you changed, and at least one unchanged page near the edit. If the file includes page numbers printed in the footer, check those printed numbers against the new order. If it includes a table of contents, remember that page-editing tools may not rewrite the document's internal references. If bookmarks matter, test them after export.

Do not assume a browser preview is enough. Download the file and open the actual output that will be shared. Keep the original PDF until the recipient confirms the result or the document policy allows deletion.

Practical limits

PDFStay is best for ordinary PDFs that the browser can load. Damaged PDFs, encrypted files, very large packets, forms with unusual behavior, or device memory limits can block local processing.
