How to Delete Pages from a PDF Without Uploading It

To delete pages from an ordinary PDF without sending the file to PDFStay servers, open Delete PDF Pages, choose a copy of the file, select only the pages you want removed, export a new PDF, and check the downloaded copy before using it. Keep the original until the final file has been reviewed.
Use deletion when the page should not be in the final copy
Deleting pages is useful for blank pages, duplicate scans, separator sheets, irrelevant attachments, or pages that were included by mistake. It is different from redaction. If sensitive information appears on a page that must remain in the document, use an approved redaction workflow rather than deleting nearby pages and assuming the risk is gone.1

- Make a working copy of the PDF and keep the original unchanged.

For a long document, write down the page numbers to remove before you start. If the PDF has cover pages, roman numerals, inserts, or scanned page labels, the viewer's page number may not match the number printed on the page.
Checks before you share the cleaned PDF
Compare the exported file against the reason you deleted pages. If you removed blank pages, confirm no actual content page was removed. If you removed an attachment, check that references to that attachment are not still required later in the document. If you removed duplicate pages, confirm which version was kept. If you removed personal or confidential pages, confirm deletion is an approved way to prepare that document.

Is deleting a page the same as redacting it?
No. Deleting removes selected pages from the exported copy. Redaction is a separate process for permanently removing specific information that may appear inside a page or metadata. Use a qualified redaction tool when that is the goal.
Can I delete blank pages manually?
Yes. If a page is truly unnecessary, select it in Delete PDF Pages and export a clean copy. Inspect faint scans and page labels first so you do not remove a meaningful page.1
